South Sacramento, CA – Injuries Reported After Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S
South Sacramento, CA (November 13, 2025) – A collision involving a gray Honda and a Safeway semi-truck on I-5 southbound near the Cosumnes River Boulevard eastbound on-ramp resulted in injuries on Wednesday, November 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident initially came in as an ambulance-required call before being upgraded to a confirmed injury crash.
Officers arrived and dispatched paramedics, who evaluated the occupants at the scene. At least one individual was transported to a local hospital for additional treatment. The semi-truck driver remained at the site and cooperated with investigators.
CHP temporarily closed the related incident file to streamline traffic management as tow crews worked to remove debris and secure the roadway. Investigators are examining what may have triggered the crash. Traffic slowed for over an hour as authorities completed their on-scene assessment.
