Stockton, CA – Car Crash on I-5 North near Pershing Ave, Injuries Reported

Stockton, CA (August 29, 2023) – An incident occurred on the morning of August 28th involving a traffic collision between a green Ford Explorer and a gray Honda sedan on the northbound lanes of I-5. The collision took place near the Pershing Avenue offramp, just south of Stockton in District 10.

At around 8:42 AM, the collision was reported, and emergency responders, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP), swiftly arrived at the scene. CHP Unit A62-503 arrived on-site, ensuring the roadway remained open while addressing the traffic hazard posed by the vehicles.

The Freeway Service Patrol also took action to clear the scene. An additional Freeway Service Patrol unit was en route to assist.

The collision resulted in sustained injuries by those involved. The responding paramedics acted immediately on arrival to provide on-site medical assessment and later transported the injured to a hospital. However, the extent of injuries remains unknown at this time.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
