Stockton, CA – Collision on I-5 S Leaves One Injured Near Walnut Grove Rd
Stockton, CA (May 2, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision involving an SUV on the southbound lanes of I-5 near the Walnut Grove Road off-ramp on the night of May 1st. California Highway Patrol units responded to the crash around 10:05 p.m. after reports of a motorcycle being struck in the right-hand shoulder area, roughly a quarter mile south of the off-ramp. The motorcycle was involved in a collision with a white GMC Acadia SUV, and initial reports also mention the involvement of a semi-truck in the vicinity, though the role of the truck remains unclear. According to CHP Unit C62-503, the motorcyclist was found at the Walnut Grove off-ramp and required immediate assistance. Paramedics arrived shortly after and provided on-site medical care before preparing the injured party for further evaluation. No injuries were reported for the driver of the SUV. A tow truck was dispatched to remove the damaged motorcycle from the scene. The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
