Tacoma, WA – Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Crash on I-5 N near Port of Tacoma Rd

Tacoma, WA (February 11, 2025) – A 63-year-old Seattle man was tragically killed early Sunday, February 9, after entering the northbound lanes of I-5 near Port of Tacoma Road. According to the Washington State Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. A 62-year-old Tacoma man, traveling north with a 66-year-old passenger, struck the pedestrian in lane three. The impact was fatal, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger were uninjured, according to authorities. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to the pedestrian entering the roadway.
