Tacoma, WA – Three-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near S 84th St., Injuries

Tacoma, WA (April 26, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the afternoon of April 26 led to injuries on southbound Interstate 5 near South 84th Street in Tacoma. The crash, reported at around 2:25 p.m., involved three vehicles and blocked the right lane, causing major traffic delays, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Trooper John Dattilo from the Washington State Patrol confirmed that one individual sustained serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries. While an ambulance responded to the scene, the injured party did not require transportation to a hospital after receiving a medical evaluation on-site. The crash prompted a substantial police and emergency response, and crews worked diligently to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.
