Tukwila, WA – DUI Suspected in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near Southcenter Blvd

Tukwila, WA (December 7, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision on northbound I-5 near Southcenter Boulevard early Saturday morning, December 7 resulted in injuries and a prolonged road closure. According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. when a vehicle struck another traveling in the same direction.

The impact caused one of the vehicles to roll onto its side, leaving debris scattered across the roadway. Both drivers, a 33-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, sustained injuries and were transported to Valley Medical Center for treatment. While the man’s injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening, the woman’s condition has not been disclosed. She is currently under investigation for potential DUI and vehicular assault charges. The Washington State Department of Transportation warned drivers of extended delays as crews worked to clear the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
