Vancouver, WA – Two-Car Wreck on I-5 Bridge Leaves Four Badly Hurt
Vancouver, WA (January 18, 2025) – Late Friday night, January 17 a serious collision involving two Tesla vehicles on the Interstate 5 bridge left four individuals with injuries. The crash occurred just before midnight as both vehicles were traveling southbound. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2018 Tesla driven by 25-year-old Tucker J. Roberts of Ridgefield was struck from behind by a 2024 Tesla. The impact sent both vehicles careening into a concrete barrier, causing extensive damage. Emergency crews from the Vancouver Fire Department faced a challenging rescue operation, working for nearly an hour to free the occupants trapped inside the wreckage.
All four individuals involved in the crash were transported to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident, with preliminary findings suggesting that speeding and potential impairment on Roberts’ part may have contributed to the crash. Vehicular assault charges are reportedly being considered.
Our thoughts go out to all those injured, and we hope for their full and speedy recovery.
