Westminster, CA – Box Truck and Sedan Crash on I-5/Katella Ave. Leaves Injuries

Westminster, CA (April 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident involving a box truck and a blue BMW sedan led to injuries on Wednesday, April 9th, along northbound I-5 near Katella Avenue in Orange County. The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around mid-afternoon after receiving reports of a crash on the right shoulder. The collision left both vehicles with moderate to severe damage and caused lane disruptions during the evening commute. Paramedics arrived shortly after and treated at least one injured person at the scene. One individual was transported to a local hospital for additional medical attention. Their current condition has not yet been released. A full investigation is underway to determine the cause and assign fault.
