Woodland, WA (December 16, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident on the southbound lanes of I-5 near milepost 24 left three people injured early Monday morning, December 16. The crash occurred at around 12:45 a.m. when a 2004 Subaru, driven by 27-year-old Dakota J. Hohenberger of Sherwood, Oregon, lost control and collided with a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. According to the Washington State Patrol, the impact pushed the Chrysler into a guardrail, immobilising both vehicles on the highway’s left shoulder. Troopers cited driving too fast for road conditions as the cause of the crash. Curtisa Ulmer, the driver of the Chrysler Pacifica, along with passengers Dae Vion Blackwell, 20, and Daemon D. Ulmer-Blackwell, 25, both of Renton, were transported to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Hohenberger did not report any injuries.
