Altadena, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash on I-5 N/Sheldon St Causes Injuries
Altadena, CA (December 25, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash on I-5 North near the Sheldon Street on-ramp left at least one person injured on Wednesday, December 24, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident involved two vehicles when an unknown driver rear-ended a white Jaguar and fled the scene. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded alongside CHP officers and found the victim pulled over on the right shoulder. The injured party complained of back pain and difficulty exiting the vehicle.
Medical personnel evaluated the victim at the scene and assisted in determining whether hospital transport was necessary. Fire crews temporarily blocked the number two lane near the on-ramp to ensure safety while responders worked. The damaged Jaguar was later towed from the scene as CHP launched an investigation into the fleeing driver.
Authorities are treating the incident as a misdemeanor hit-and-run and are actively working to identify the suspect vehicle.
