Altadena, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Sunland Blvd. Leaves Injuries
Altadena, CA (December 24, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle crash on I-5 northbound near Sunland Boulevard left multiple people injured early December 23. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a silver Jeep Rubicon or Wrangler, a white sedan, and an unidentified third vehicle. Investigators reported that at least two vehicles struck the center divider, while another remained blocking the fast lane, causing significant traffic disruptions.
CHP logs indicate that one silver sedan overturned multiple times before striking the right shoulder wall. Los Angeles Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene and provided medical aid to injured occupants. At least one victim was assessed on-site, while others were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly released, though they were described as non-life-threatening.
Freeway Service Patrol and tow operators worked to clear the wreckage, while officers temporarily closed lanes, including the HOV lane, to allow for investigation and cleanup. CHP continues to examine the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
