Altadena, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/SR-170 Con., Injuries Reported

Altadena, CA (December 31, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on southbound I-5 at the SR-170 connector resulted in minor injuries on Tuesday morning, December 30, CHP reported. The vehicles involved were a black Ford F-150 and a gray Toyota Corolla. The collision caused one vehicle to end up in the center divide, partially blocking the number 1 lane. Both drivers complained of pain, though no one required immediate hospital transport. Tow services arrived promptly to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the lanes.

CHP is investigating the crash to determine what caused the collision and is reviewing witness accounts. Traffic was temporarily slowed as crews worked to restore the roadway to normal conditions.
