Altadena, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Western Ave. Ramp Leaves Injuries

Altadena, CA (August 27, 2025) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles caused injuries on Wednesday afternoon, August 27, on the I-5 South near the Western Avenue on-ramp. The crash, which occurred around 1:36 p.m., involved a green Subaru Forester and a U-Haul truck.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene shortly after the accident was reported. Witnesses noted that both vehicles collided near the ramp, leaving one car with visible front-end damage. Paramedics were called in and provided medical assistance to the injured. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Investigators are working to determine whether speed or lane merging may have contributed to the collision.
