Capistrano, CA – Motorcycle Crash on I-5 S/SR-73 Leaves Rider Injured

Capistrano, CA (November 24, 2025) – A crash involving a sports-type motorcycle and an additional unidentified vehicle led to injuries on Sunday, November 23, on southbound Interstate 5 near the SR-73 north connector. CHP reports indicate the motorcycle came to rest in the center divider while the rider was found nearby on the right shoulder.

Orange County Fire Authority crews arrived to assess the rider’s injuries and secure the scene. Authorities stated that the rider’s motorcycle was briefly obstructing the No. 2 lane before responders moved it out of traffic. While the injured motorcyclist received medical attention at the scene, officials have not confirmed whether they were transported to a hospital.

Investigators are now working to determine what led to the collision and whether another vehicle contributed before leaving the scene.
