Los Angeles, CA – Fatal Fiery Crash on I-5 Near 134 Freeway Transition
Los Angeles, CA (September 10, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash on the northbound I-5 near the 134 Freeway transition claimed one life and left another person injured early Wednesday, September 10. The accident occurred around 3:20 a.m. when two cars collided, with one vehicle erupting into flames shortly after impact.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded swiftly, but tragically, one person was found trapped inside the burning car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that the fire was so intense that rescuers could not reach the victim in time. Another individual from the second vehicle was treated at the scene for injuries. The extent of those injuries has not been publicly released.
Authorities shut down all northbound lanes at the 134 interchange for several hours while crews battled the fire, investigated the cause, and cleared debris from the roadway. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, pending notification of the family. The crash remains under active investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
