Newhall, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Castaic Rd Causes Injuries

Newhall, CA (December 10, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision on I-5 southbound near Castaic Road resulted in injuries on Tuesday evening, December 9. CHP reported that all involved parties had exited their vehicles and were found standing in the roadway as officers and medical personnel assessed injuries.

Injured individuals received on-scene treatment as responders ensured that no secondary accidents occurred in the congested area. Lanes 1 and 2 were blocked, leading to extended delays while authorities secured the scene. Tow requests were initially issued but later cancelled after officers determined vehicles could be cleared without additional assistance. CHP is working to determine what caused the collision.
