Olympia, WA – Multi-Vehicle Semi Crash on I-5 Causes Injuries

Olympia, WA (December 15, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash involving commercial trucks occurred on the northbound Interstate 5 in Tumwater on Monday, December 15. According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:00 a.m. near the U.S. 101 interchange.

Troopers reported that three semi-trucks and a passenger vehicle were involved when one vehicle struck a concrete barrier. The impact displaced the barrier, forcing the closure of all northbound lanes and one southbound lane. Several motorists reported injuries at the scene. Those injured were evaluated by on-site medical personnel, and none required transport to a hospital.

The Washington State Department of Transportation crews repaired the damaged barrier before reopening all lanes around 10:20 a.m. WSP continues to investigate the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
