Portland, OR – Injury Crash on I-5 S/Exit 297

Portland, OR (October 26, 2025) – A crash involving injuries occurred Sunday afternoon, October 26, on southbound I-5 near Exit 297. According to the Portland Police Bureau, two vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the highway. Medics were called to the scene and provided immediate assistance to at least one injured occupant before transporting them to a local medical facility for further treatment. Police and fire crews closed part of the roadway for nearly an hour to investigate and remove the wrecked vehicles. The Portland Police Traffic Division is still investigating the events that led to the collision, but stated that impairment does not appear to be a factor at this time.
