Redding, CA – Motorcyclist Suffers Injuries in I-5 Crash/Cypress Ave Off-Ramp

Redding, CA (August 5, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a collision with a red Toyota sedan on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Cypress Avenue off-ramp on August 5th. CHP officers responded to the incident around 3:47 p.m. Reports indicate that the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and found lying in the middle lane. Shasta County emergency services provided immediate on-site medical assistance before the injured rider was transported to a nearby medical facility for further care. Southbound traffic was temporarily halted as responders secured the area and cleared the debris. Authorities are investigating the events leading up to the crash. A tow truck was requested to remove the damaged motorcycle from the highway.
