Sacramento, CA – Four-Vehicle Wreck on I-5 S/Richards Blvd. Causes Injuries

Sacramento, CA (July 1, 2025) – On the afternoon of June 30th, a multi-vehicle crash involving four vehicles occurred on the southbound lanes of I-5, just south of Richards Boulevard, causing injuries among the occupants of the involved vehicles. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene around 2:56 p.m., confirming the crash involved a black 2017 Kia Soul, a gray Ford Mustang, a gray BMW sedan, and a fourth unidentified vehicle. The incident was initially reported as involving possible injuries. CHP dispatched paramedics to the crash site after assessing the scene. On-site medical assistance was provided to all those involved. However, no word on whether transportation to the hospital was required. The Sacramento Police Department is expected to review the incident further.
