Sacramento, CA – Injury Crash on I-5 Near Arena Blvd

Sacramento, CA (January 17, 2026) – A traffic collision with reported injuries happened on Wednesday, January 15, on Interstate 5 southbound north of Arena Blvd in Sacramento.

Dispatch reports say emergency personnel responded around 6:05 p.m. The crash involved a white semi-truck and a grey SUV. Call notes also stated that the vehicles were blocking a lane when crews were sent out.

One person was reported trapped inside a vehicle, and fire crews were requested to assist with extrication. Paramedics were also called to the scene to help the injured person and provide medical care. Officials have not released details on the person’s identity or the seriousness of their injuries.
