Sacramento, CA – Injury Crash on I-5 S Near South Sac

Sacramento, CA (September 16, 2025) – A collision involving a white Dodge utility truck and a green Toyota caused injuries on Tuesday afternoon, September 16, on I-5 southbound near South Sacramento. The accident was reported around 12:59 p.m., and California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers quickly arrived on the scene. The vehicles came to rest in the center divider, prompting authorities to request a tow truck. Paramedics were dispatched, and at least one injured person received emergency treatment before being transported to a nearby hospital. The full extent of their injuries has not yet been released. The Dodge truck sustained damage to its utility bed, while the Toyota suffered significant body damage. Lanes in the area were partially blocked while crews assisted the victims and cleared debris from the roadway. CHP officers are still investigating what caused the collision.
