San Diego, CA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5/ Camino De La Plaza

San Diego, CA (October 15, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle collision occurred on Wednesday, October 15, on I-5 southbound near Camino De La Plaza, resulting in multiple injuries. The California Highway Patrol reported that three cars collided in the southbound lanes during the afternoon commute. Several victims sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Emergency crews provided immediate on-site care and transported at least two individuals to nearby hospitals for further evaluation. Traffic congestion quickly built up in the area as multiple lanes were blocked by the wreckage. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles and restore traffic flow. CHP is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
