San Diego, CA – Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-5 Near Dairy Mart Rd. Causes Injuries

San Diego, CA (August 26, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash involving a BMW, a pickup truck, and a third vehicle resulted in injuries on Tuesday afternoon, August 26, on the southbound lanes of I-5 near Dairy Mart Road. The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene shortly before 5:00 p.m. According to officials, the vehicles collided just north of the Dairy Mart exit, leaving several people hurt. Emergency medical crews arrived and transported at least one injured person to a nearby hospital for treatment. Others were assessed on-site for less severe injuries. Witnesses told officers that traffic was already slowing down in the area when the crash occurred. The collision left two of the vehicles heavily damaged, and debris was scattered across several lanes. Tow trucks were later called to remove the wreckage. CHP officers remained on the scene to interview witnesses and piece together how the accident occurred.
