San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Pershing St On-Ramp Causes Injuries

San Diego, CA (August 28, 2025) – A collision between a red Chevrolet and a black Toyota Tacoma at the northbound I-5 Pershing Street on-ramp left multiple people injured Thursday morning, August 28. The crash was reported just before 9:00 a.m., bringing the San Diego CHP to the scene.

Officials confirmed that both drivers were injured in the impact, with one victim transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Another individual sustained less severe injuries and was assessed on-site by paramedics. Crews worked quickly to clear the vehicles and reopen the ramp.

CHP officers launched an investigation to determine the factors that led to the crash. Authorities have not disclosed the names of the injured parties.
