Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N Leaves Injuries/Chapman Ave
Santa Ana, CA (December 25, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle collision caused injuries on I-5 North near the Chapman Avenue off-ramp late Wednesday evening, December 24. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved at least four vehicles, including a truck, a Toyota Camry, a Toyota Prius, and a black sedan. The collision occurred in the northbound lanes and spilled into the HOV lane, where multiple vehicles came to rest, blocking traffic.
CHP officers and Orange County Freeway Service Patrol units arrived to find heavy front-end damage to at least one Toyota and debris scattered across the roadway. One or more injured occupants were assessed at the scene, and an ambulance was dispatched to provide medical assistance.
While officials have not released the identities of those involved, at least one victim required further medical evaluation due to crash-related injuries. Authorities are continuing to examine what led up to the crash, including whether speed or unsafe lane changes played a role.
