Santa Ana, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/SR-55 Leaves Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (October 23, 2025) – Several people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on I-5 North near the SR-55 interchange in Santa Ana on Thursday morning, October 23. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved a blue Ford Explorer and another sedan, both of which came to rest on the right shoulder after the impact.

First responders arrived quickly to assess the scene and provided emergency care to the injured occupants. One person sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The crash caused temporary traffic slowdowns along the northbound lanes as CHP officers and tow crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the debris.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision. All lanes were reopened once cleanup operations concluded.
