Santa Ana, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Jeffrey Rd. Leaves Injuries
Santa Ana, CA (October 14, 2025) – A collision involving two vehicles on Interstate 5 southbound near the Jeffrey Road area left at least one person injured on October 14. The crash, reported around midday, involved a white Toyota Highlander and a gray Subaru that collided in active lanes of traffic.
California Highway Patrol and local authorities responded quickly, blocking part of the roadway to assess the situation and assist victims. Paramedics arrived soon after and provided medical attention to the injured individuals. One person was transported to a nearby hospital for additional treatment, while others were evaluated on-site for less serious injuries.
The crash caused delays through the southbound lanes as vehicles were moved to the shoulder and tow crews cleared debris. Commuters experienced slowdowns for more than an hour as responders worked to reopen traffic.
Officers are still investigating how the Toyota SUV and Subaru came into contact, including whether a lane merge or sudden stop preceded the impact. No fatalities have been reported, and authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
