Santa Fe Springs, CA – Two-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-5 S/Carmenita Rd

Santa Fe Springs, CA (November 26, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision on I-5 South near Carmenita Road left at least one person injured on Tuesday evening, November 26. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded after receiving reports of a gray Honda Accord colliding with a semi-pickup truck on the right shoulder of the freeway.

One injured occupant underwent on-scene medical evaluation as an ambulance was dispatched. CHP did not confirm whether hospital transport was required. Multiple tow companies, including Pepes Tow and OnStar Tow & Recovery, were called to handle the tractor, the damaged BMW, and other affected vehicles associated with the incident. Officers documented skid marks, vehicle placement, and structural damage to determine contributing factors. The investigation remains ongoing.
