Williams, CA – Major Crash with injuries Reported on West Side Highway near CA-20

Williams, CA (February 11, 2023) – On February 9, the California Highway Patrol was summoned to the scene of a major traffic accident that left at least one person hurt.

Just before 11:30 a.m., a head-on collision involving a white SUV and a red Toyota pickup truck took place on the north side of the West Side Highway, Interstate 5. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near the off-ramp for California State Route 20.

Emergency medical services were called to the scene to care for victims who suffered major injuries. Those who required further care were rushed to local hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
