Sacramento, CA – Injury Traffic Collision on I-5 S/43rd Ave
Sacramento, CA (December 31, 2025) – A traffic collision on I-5 southbound at the 43rd Avenue exit left at least one person injured on Tuesday afternoon, December 30. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a vehicle, currently unidentified, was involved in a crash that caused a head injury to one occupant. The vehicle sustained significant damage and was deemed not drivable.
First responders from CHP and local paramedics arrived quickly, providing on-site medical assessment and transporting the injured party via ambulance to a nearby hospital. The collision blocked part of the roadway, creating a traffic hazard in the left-turn lane. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Traffic was redirected to allow for tow trucks to remove the disabled vehicle safely. Drivers in the area experienced delays during the cleanup.
