Altadena, CA – Fatal Crash on I-5 NB at CA-134 Intchg

Altadena, CA (September 12, 2025) – A fatal collision occurred on Wednesday, September 10, on Interstate 5 northbound at the interchange with CA-134 in Altadena.

The crash was reported around 3:09 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles were involved, including a grey sedan that struck a concrete wall. The impact left vehicles blocking multiple lanes, and one of the vehicles caught fire. Emergency crews responded and confirmed at least one fatality at the scene. Another individual was transported to the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Centre with minor injuries.

The collision forced lane closures, and a SigAlert was issued as Caltrans and first responders worked through the early morning hours. All lanes reopened around 7:20 a.m.
