San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Bay Blvd Leaves Injuries

San Diego, CA (September 11, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on I-5 southbound north of Bay Boulevard left multiple people injured on September 11. The crash, reported by California Highway Patrol at 2:29 a.m., involved a Nissan Rogue and a Honda sedan. Upon arrival, CHP officers found that both vehicles were damaged and blocking lanes, resulting in delays during the early morning commute.

Medical crews evaluated those involved, and at least one person was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The severity of the injuries sustained has not yet been released. Authorities worked to move the vehicles to the right shoulder and restore traffic flow. Tow trucks were called to remove the Nissan and Honda, both of which sustained significant damage.

The San Diego CHP office is investigating the events leading up to the collision.
