Altadena, CA – Injuries Reported in Three-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/W Alameda Ave
Altadena, CA (October 2, 2025) – A traffic collision involving at least three vehicles occurred on I-5 southbound near the West Alameda Avenue exit on October 2. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray vehicle was found disabled in the HOV lane, while a dark-colored SUV and a third unidentified vehicle had come to rest along the right shoulder.
Responding officers arrived to find debris scattered across multiple lanes, prompting temporary traffic control. Paramedics assessed several occupants at the scene, and at least one individual sustained moderate injuries requiring transport to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Other motorists were treated roadside for minor complaints of pain.
The CHP is actively investigating whether speeding or lane changes played a role in the crash. Tow crews later removed the damaged vehicles, and all lanes were reopened after cleanup efforts concluded.
