Capistrano, CA – Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Avenida Pico

Capistrano, CA (July 24, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving a white Chevrolet Astro van and a black Dodge Charger occurred Thursday morning, July 24, on northbound I-5 at Avenida Pico, leaving two people with injuries. Orange County Fire Authority paramedics and California Highway Patrol responded to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call.

First responders found both vehicles with visible damage, with one person reportedly trapped inside the van. Both injured parties were provided on-site medical aid before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.

The crash temporarily disrupted traffic in the area as authorities worked to assess the scene, clear the wreckage, and collect evidence. CHP officers are leading an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision.
