Capistrano, CA – Two-Vehicle Wreck on I-5 at El Camino Real Injures Woman 

Capistrano, CA (July 31, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash involving a white sedan and a silver SUV occurred on the southbound lanes of I-5 near El Camino Real late Thursday night, July 31, resulting in injuries. The crash was reported around 10:16 p.m. on July 31st.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the impact left both vehicles blocking the fast lanes, and one of them began to emit smoke. A female driver trapped inside the SUV was unable to open the driver’s side door and had to exit through the passenger side with assistance. Emergency responders from local fire and medical units arrived at the scene, where the woman was evaluated for injuries.

Although the extent of her injuries is not yet publicly known, authorities confirmed she was alert and speaking with first responders.

CHP continues to investigate the crash to determine the cause.
