Commerce, CA – One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 SB Near Washington Blvd

Commerce, CA (October 24, 2025) – One person was killed on October 22 in a multi-vehicle collision on the southbound Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway near Washington Blvd in Commerce.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred around 12:55 p.m. and involved several vehicles. The impact of the collision caused one of the cars to overturn, resulting in fatal injuries to one person at the scene.

Emergency crews responded promptly to assist victims and clear the wreckage from the freeway. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of family members.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash and the sequence of events that led to the deadly collision.
