East Los Angeles, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-5 at Slauson Ave.

East Los Angeles, CA (September 7, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused injuries on Sunday, September 7, on Interstate 5 northbound at East Slauson Avenue in East Los Angeles. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred in the #4 lane and involved a Honda CR-V and a Chevrolet Malibu. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, prompting officers to block part of the roadway while responders provided aid. Paramedics evaluated those hurt at the scene, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. Tow trucks later removed the damaged vehicles from the freeway. Traffic in the area experienced heavy delays until the lanes were cleared. CHP officers are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision.
