Los Angeles, CA – Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on I-5 at Slauson Ave Leaves Rider Injured

Los Angeles, CA (August 30, 2025) – A hit-and-run collision involving a motorcycle on Interstate 5 southbound at East Slauson Avenue left one rider injured on Saturday evening. CHP officials reported that the accident happened around 6:00 p.m. when a white Toyota Tacoma struck a yellow-and-black motorcycle in the number 3 lane. The impact caused the motorcyclist to go down in the middle of the freeway.

Despite the severity of the crash, the rider was able to stand and walk with assistance after the incident. The driver of the Tacoma fled the scene, prompting an ongoing investigation into the hit-and-run. Freeway Service Patrol units closed down lanes temporarily to assist the rider and remove the motorcycle from traffic. The victim was later transported by ambulance for further medical evaluation.

Authorities are actively searching for the suspect vehicle and asking witnesses to provide any information that may help identify the driver.
