Capistrano, CA – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Crown Valley Pkwy.

Capistrano, CA (August 30, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 South near Crown Valley Parkway left multiple people injured on Saturday afternoon, August 30. California Highway Patrol responded after reports indicated that two SUVs overturned following the collision. One of the vehicles struck the center divider before landing on the right shoulder, while another overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Witnesses stopped to assist, including a driver in a red Toyota Camry, before first responders arrived. At least one person was able to exit their vehicle on their own, while others required medical attention at the scene. Ambulances were dispatched, and those injured were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation.

Authorities shut down portions of the roadway while tow crews worked to clear the wrecked vehicles from the shoulder and divider. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
