Los Angeles, CA – Major Injury Crash on I-5 N/E Washington Blvd.

Los Angeles, CA (August 24, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash left at least one person with major injuries on Sunday afternoon, August 24, along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at East Washington Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that two white vehicles collided in the #1 lane, leaving both cars disabled and blocking traffic. Drivers were seen exiting their vehicles and standing in live lanes, creating additional hazards for passing motorists. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, providing aid to the injured before transporting at least one person to a nearby hospital for further treatment. CHP officers are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.
