Los Angeles, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Wreck on I-5 at Sunland Blvd

Los Angeles, CA (August 8, 2025) – A serious collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV on the northbound Interstate 5 just south of the Sunland Boulevard off-ramp left a motorcyclist injured early Friday morning, August 8. The crash occurred around 7:28 a.m., blocking the HOV and one additional lane. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident involved a black SUV and a white-and-black motorcycle with distinctive green tires. The force of the impact left the motorcycle and rider in the HOV lane, creating a traffic hazard for approaching vehicles.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived quickly, providing on-site medical assistance before transporting the injured rider to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
