Oceanside, CA – Two Motorcyclists Injured in Crash on I-5 Near Mission Ave

Oceanside, CA (August 8, 2025) – Two motorcyclists were injured in a serious crash involving a black Volkswagen on southbound Interstate 5 near Mission Avenue on Friday afternoon, August 8. The collision, reported around 4:46 p.m., left both riders down in the lanes, creating an immediate hazard for passing traffic. According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the motorcycles collided with the Volkswagen before causing a secondary crash with another motorcycle. Emergency responders quickly arrived and provided critical medical care before transporting both injured riders to Tri-City Medical Center for further evaluation. Authorities are reviewing dashcam footage and interviewing witnesses to determine the sequence of events that led to the crash.
