Los Angeles, CA – Pregnant Woman Injured in Crash on I-5/Lorena St.

Los Angeles, CA (August 8, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the northbound Interstate 5 just south of Lorena Street on Friday afternoon, August 8, left a pregnant woman injured and required an ambulance response. The crash, reported around 3:41 p.m., involved a blue Dodge and a black Kia. According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman in the Kia, who is nine months pregnant, requested immediate medical attention following the collision. First responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived and assessed the woman’s condition before transporting her to a local hospital for further evaluation. Officers temporarily closed lanes near the Calzona on-ramp to allow paramedics and tow crews safe access to the scene. Authorities remained on-site to investigate the cause of the crash.
