Los Angeles, CA – SUV and Semi-Truck Crash on I-5 S, Injury Reported

Los Angeles, CA (August 12, 2025) – Late on August 12, an SUV and a semi-truck were involved in a serious collision on the southbound lanes of I-5 near S Grande Vista Avenue in Central Los Angeles. CHP officers arrived around 11:21 p.m. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and evaluated the drivers at the scene. The semi driver was out of the vehicle and uninjured, while the SUV driver required medical attention. Traffic was partially impacted as crews worked to investigate and remove the damaged vehicles. Tow trucks were requested, and the scene was cleared after several hours. Authorities are reviewing witness statements and roadway evidence to determine the cause of the incident.
