Los Angeles, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Laurel Canyon Blvd. Leaves Several Injured

Los Angeles, CA (July 31, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on the northbound side of I-5 near Laurel Canyon Boulevard left multiple people injured on the evening of Thursday, July 31st, prompting a prompt response from the California Highway Patrol. The accident occurred around 6:48 p.m. and involved a brown Honda sedan and a dark-colored Lexus SUV. Both vehicles were initially blocking the fast lanes, leading to significant traffic congestion in the area.

CHP units quickly responded and moved the damaged vehicles to the right-hand shoulder to reopen the roadway. Medical personnel arrived shortly after to assess those injured. While the exact number of individuals hurt has not been disclosed, first responders confirmed that at least one person was evaluated for injuries on-site.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
