Los Banos, CA – Two-Truck Crash on I-5 S/Nees Ave. Leaves Victims with Injuries

Los Banos, CA (December 1, 2025) – A severe two-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 southbound near the Nees Avenue off-ramp caused major injuries on Sunday, November 30. CHP reports indicate that a white Nissan pickup and a black pickup truck collided, veering off the roadway and crashing through a barbed-wire fence around 75 to 80 feet from the shoulder.

One of the trucks overturned, and another began smoking as firefighters arrived to assess the situation. Emergency medical services responded quickly, providing immediate treatment to at least one seriously injured individual before transporting them for further care. Cal Fire confirmed that although the fence sustained significant damage, no livestock entered the roadway. The cause of the accident remains under investigation as officers determine what led the pickups to leave the highway.
