Milton, WA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Injures Child, DUI Arrest Made
Milton, WA (December 28, 2025) – Four people, including a 9-year-old girl, were injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-5 near Milton late Friday night, December 26. The Washington State Patrol reported the collision occurred around 10:00 p.m. north of Wapato Way. A 44-year-old man driving a black 2016 Mercedes sedan struck a vehicle ahead that had slowed to avoid a roadway hazard. The second car was driven by a 27-year-old woman with a child passenger. Both vehicles came to rest blocking two southbound lanes, causing traffic delays exceeding four hours. The Mercedes passenger sustained injuries and was transported to Tacoma General Hospital, while the woman and child were treated at the scene. Troopers arrested the male driver on suspicion of vehicular assault and DUI. The investigation is ongoing.
