Mission Viejo, CA – 5 Freeway Crash with Injuries Reported near Oso Parkway

Mission Viejo, CA (February 13, 2023) – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an automobile accident that had taken place on Saturday afternoon in Mission Viejo.

The vehicle collision was reported at 1:05 p.m. on February 11. According to officials, an unknown number of vehicles collided on the southbound side of the San Diego Freeway, Interstate 5. The incident blocked to right lanes of travel near Oso Parkway.

This car accident caused at least one person to be left with injuries. Medical care was rendered to the injured parties on-site before they were taken to local hospitals for additional care.

The California Highway Patrol has initiated an investigation into the crash.
