Portland, OR – Injuries Follow 5 Freeway Crash near Marquam Bridge

Portland, OR (February 13, 2023) – The Portland Police Bureau responded to the site of an accident with injuries that blocked multiple lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway on February 12.

At around 2:45 p.m., officers were notified that an automobile accident had taken place on the southbound side of the freeway. The incident caused delays over the Marquam Bridge as emergency crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles and debris from the road.

At least one person involved in the accident suffered injuries. EMS responded to care for the injured victims before transporting them to area hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation at the time.
